Request account and data deletion

Kirbo Labs, Inc. ("Kirbo") lets any account holder request permanent deletion of their Kirbo account and all family data. This page explains what gets deleted, what we keep, how long it takes, and how to submit a request from outside the app.

The fastest way: delete from inside the app

If you can still sign in to Kirbo Guardian, deleting from within the app is instant and confirmed on-screen.

  1. Open Kirbo Guardian on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
  3. Tap "Delete my account and family data".
  4. Type DELETE to confirm. Your account, all child profiles, conversations, reports and alerts are erased right away.

Use this form if you can no longer sign in, have uninstalled the app, or prefer the web. Enter the email address associated with your Kirbo Guardian account — we will confirm the request by email and delete your data within 30 days.

What gets deleted and what we keep

Deleted permanently

  • Your parent account (email, password hash, name, language and notification preferences).
  • All child profiles in your family (nickname, avatar, birth month/year, gender, PIN hash).
  • Every conversation your children had with Kirbo (messages, audio-to-text, images shared).
  • All AI-generated content stored for your family (session summaries, daily / weekly / monthly reports, safety alerts, conversation starters).
  • Family Value Pillars, custom rules, learned preferences and interests.
  • Push notification tokens and device registrations.

Kept for a limited time or as required by law

  • Anonymized safety-signal logs (no name, email, PIN or free-text content) may be kept up to 24 months to keep our safety models honest and to comply with child-safety obligations.
  • Billing and transaction records, if any, are kept for up to 7 years to comply with US, Canadian and Mexican tax and accounting rules.
  • Records of your deletion request itself (email, timestamp, and confirmation) are kept for up to 24 months so we can prove we honored your request.
  • Backup snapshots may briefly retain your data before rolling out of our backup window (maximum 35 days).

How long it takes

In-app deletions are effective immediately. Requests submitted through this form are processed within 30 days of email verification.
